DEKADA: Sugarfree 10th Anniversary Concert
i loved everything except the fact that bogie didn't play his guitar this time.haha. its like i'm assuming that he's really part of the band. anyway, very beautiful concert indeed and very intimate, and that is what i loved the most about the concert. a bit cheesy though on some parts, but hey, pagbigyan na si ebe. =)

hum with me.. happy birthday to you.. happy birthday to you..happy birthday, happy birthday, happy bithday to meeeeeeee.. weeeh
has anyone viewed Aquino Productions' Docu:The Last Journey of Ninoy(from the day he delivered a speech in LA to the day he died at the then known MIA)?
i watched it Sunday night and from then on, i fully appreciated how great it is to sleep in my bed knowing that tomorrow is another boring work day. i fully appreciated everything i have.and while appreciating alot, i felt ashamed at the same time that i cringe at the thought of boredom. i felt ashamed that my life moves slowly. and i felt ashamed that i do not, not even an inch, blamed myself for all the procrastination and how uneventful my life is. malaya akong gawin lahat ng gusto ko, pero wala akong ginawa.
while Ninoy, wants to do more but he cannot do anything but walked around his cell, hoping that he gets tired and soon fall asleep, knowing that tomorow is the same day. for more than 7 year he did that.
Sigh..right now, i feel like a strifling insect.
my arms are so big.. but i do not care. mark (first name basis) is hugging them like he's hugging a pillow.. ok lang isipin na lang nya boobs yan..haha..me: tay, gumagana ba tong weighing scale?
tay: pag tinapakan mo hindi na.
me: tse!

Showbiz talk show host Jobert Sucaldito is recovering at the Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City after a successful emergency surgery to remove a large piece of cucumber that got stuck in his rectum, according to reports.
Sucaldito, one of the hosts of ABS-CBN’s “The Buzz,” reportedly met with the accident Sunday night and was rushed to the hospital after complaining of “extreme pain” in his bottom.
X-rays subsequently revealed that a broken piece of cucumber, about five inches in length, had gotten lodged into the lower end of his large intestine.
It was not immediately clear how the cucumber got there.
The surgeons who operated on Sucaldito were tight-lipped and refused to discuss his case with media, citing doctor-patient confidentiality. Oddly enough, they all looked like they were trying vainly to keep from laughing and refused to look reporters in the eye.
Members of Sucaldito’s household who declined to be named said they recovered the other half of the cucumber, also five inches in length, in Sucaldito’s bedroom.
They said it had “bite marks” and was in a “soggy” state.
Besides the cucumber, they said they also found “a bottle of Johnson’s baby oil, pictures of scantily clad men, and lots of tissue paper.”
Reached by phone, Sucaldito said he is fine and will be discharged from hospital soon. He explained that it was all an accident.
Cucumbers Have Rights, Too
Basta, mabilis kasi ang mga pangyayari (I was making a salad. I sat on a
chair but there was a cucumber there in an upright position. Everything just happened so fast)” he said.
In a related development, a group of vegan Filipinos is reportedly thinking of filing an abuse complaint against Sucaldito for allegedly molesting a harmless and defenseless vegetable.

Dear Mr. Bob Ong,
Roses? Kalachuchi? Chocnut at sampaguita?
In lab na po ako. Ano po ang gagawin ko? Is she the one?
Lubos na gumagalang,
-MATT -
- ANG REPLY -
Dear MATT,
Ano ba pare? Ano'ng era ka ba pinanganak?
Pero don't worry. It's not too late. Mga medyo more than your usual regalong panligaw:
Tapos pabuksan mo in front of everyone.
Later during the day, pag tinanong niya kung bakit Century Tuna ang binigay mo, iikot mo yung lata at ituro mo yung sign na "Omega 8." Pag tinanong niya kung ano yung Omega 8, sabihin mo: "because you're good for my heart."
Tapos, sa bawat hanger, isulat mo: "I miss hanging out with you."
Tapos bilugan mo yung "with Omega 8." Hindi na siya magtatanong kung bakit.
5. Bigyan mo ng ice cream cone. Dapat cone lang at walang ice cream.
7. Bigyan mo siya ng mumurahing bumbilya. Alam mo na siguro by this time kung ano ang isasagot pag tinanong niya kung bakit.

Bob Ong

if know this is going to happen, i would have pushed myself to cross the closed borders of thailand from cambodia.
our supposed flight back to the philippines was at 5:40pm and we were told that we can just arrive at the airport around 1 hour before the flight, so that's what we did since im not a fan of waiting at the airport for three hours long, the norm for international flights.
we arrived at around 4:40 exactly one hour and there we were told that the gates for the cebu pacific flight is already closed. we and another filipina pleaded to let us in since our 4000peso plane ticket would be put into nothing but another hole in our pockets
for another 5000 worth of plane ticket just to go home. and to our badluck, it was 5:40 already and we were sitting on our bags nearly crying about this disaster.
there are just a few things i remembered that night and the dawn after:
i've memorize the ins and outs of the three terminals in singapore
we went back to hyatt for a chance of help
we did get help from liyana =)
we bought dinner at 10pm
we were able to eat it at 3am
we were able to baord a jetstar plane at around 6AM and immediately dozed off
the next thing i knew, im back.
but then if this is how amazing race goes, maybe it really is amazing after all =)
we woke up at around 4am and left the hotel at 5am to see the sun rise behind the temples of Angkor Wat.. we arrived there and to our surprise, there are about a hundred tourists waiting at the grounds already, with their dslr and tripods ready to capture the moment. with just our fashonista cameras at hand, we decided to drink some coffee first at a food stall nearby, while waiting for the sun to rise. the coffee was one of the finest coffee i've tasted so far. bad thing i wasnt able to buy the beans to bring back home.
around the grounds. later, after admitting that we are all tired we decided to head back home just right in time for lunch.i scanned thru our pre-tour emails after i got back and one of my friends stated the siem reap is a must-see for seeing angkor wat is the whole point of the trip and really, siem ream did make a point.

we arrived at phnom penh at around 3pm from our 7hour road trip from ho chi minh to phnom penh. we took the Mai Linh bus for 200,000VND which includes a free bottle of water for the entire bus ride. the 7 hour was quite a relief for me as i just slept thru the entire trip. i remember just waking up for stop overs, border crossing and looking at the window and asking my vietnamese seatmate "are we there yet?" to which he will politely asnwer "three hours more" or "two more hours" or whatever time it is.
when we arrived, we checked in at billabong hotel, as to where our friend made a reservation for us. on our first day we just tried the pool, ate early dinner, took a bath and walked around phnom penh to look for a tuktuk driver who will tour us the following day and to search for nice bars to grab a drink.
we ended up at chow bar and restaurant, drank beer and ate spring rolls again. while we were laughing and talking in a loud and rapid tagalog, a photographer from phnom penh post ask us if he could take a picture of the four of us for their local newspaper. we agreed and the monday af
ter, before we left for siem reap, there we saw our pictures at the phnom penh post. haha.
the following day, we asked our tuktuk driver, sarath, to take us to the killing fields or the Choeung Ek Execution Area, 30 mins away from our hotel. it is the largest of the many execution areas during the Khmer Rouge. its quite a vast area but considering that there are thousands of people who died there, you'll suddenly feel cramped inside. its big but i bet everything is within hearing distance.i could not imagine myself being there waiting to be killed the following day while hearing other people screaming in pain and begging to spare their love ones' life. i myself would not wait for the following day.
the next we went to is the Toul Sleng Musuem. its a 4-building comp
lex, a previous secondary school that was converted into prison during the Khmer Rouge. there are 14 graveyards there and those are the last 14 victims before the Khmer Rouge ended and are to be used as evidences for the remaining proponents of the Khmer Rouge to undergo trial after lots of efforts from the cambodian goverment and funding from UN, cambodia and other countries as well..
its feels ironic that these two places mark phnom penh and are considered to be "tourist attractions" when all Kampucheans want is to forget those years when 1/4 of their population was pained to death. you'd bet that each of them has at least one loved one who've died during those years. our tuktuk driver cannot even talked about it or maybe he just does not understand. there are a lot of places and experiences that will touch you but a few of them can move you, and these two did. we cannot even talked to each other on our way to lunch. we cannot even smile for pictures while we were at those places.
after, we looked for frizz restaurant, where we plan to eat for lunch. it was fantastic. i never thought i could eat again after the musuem visits but the look of the food just made me drool.
our afternoon itinerary includes passing by royal palace. in front is a park where you could feed and play with the pigoens flying and resting at the park. atfter was trip to the russian market and then we went back to the hotel to pack our bags for our next stop which is siem reap. =)
it was during our trip to boracay that we thought of going to another country by april, that was end november and now i'm back in manila.haha.
it was april 8, holy wednesday, at around 11pm that we boarded cebu pacific going to saigon. we arrived at 1:30am (saigon's time) and hurriedly rode a cab going to park hyatt as to where we will stay for free! thanks to our dear friend tasha for the five star hotel accommodation.
after few hours of sleep after, we headed to have our money changed into VND. we felt rich holding 500,000VND++, for 1USD = 17,000VND.
the most amazing thing in this city is the presence of too many motorcycles around. i've never even seen it but its like a stampede of gazelles, then imagine yourself crossing the street. Motorcyles have been the most rampant form of transportation in the city, from flower deliveries, laundry services. we even saw a man trying to transport manequins in these very busy streets. their roads may be clogged but you'd appreciate the cleanliness of the city after a long day. try scratching your arms or your neck and you won't see or feel any dirt. =)
we met one of our college friends, who's also having a vacation in ho chi minh and offered to tour us around since she knows the place quite well. we went first to vietnam musuem which is near Le Duan Street, just inside the gates of the zoo. you'd see how ho chi minh has been once a french colony. everything is wrtten in vietnamese, english and french. next we went to is the reunification palace which is also known as the independence palace which is south vietnam president's former palace. fees to both places woul cost around 15,000VND each.
after two museums that we've been to, we went to pho24 to have something to eat.
ho chi minh maybe humid and hot, but you can never resist their steaming beef noodle soup, spring rolls, and lemon juice. we ate at around 5pm and we didnt feel hungry until the day after.
the next day, we ate at wrap and roll for lunch which also serves nice food. after, we went to war museum, passed by the notre dame cathedral and dropped by their post office to send some postcards back ho
me and to some firends from other countries. then we went to ben thanh market to buy souveneirs and of course to buy coffee that i would try back home.
we tried to get back home early and rest for we will be leaving the following day for phnom penh.
one saturday afternoon.....
kei: sa palagay nyo ba ok kayong girlfriend?

jem shrugs
tasha. no
shit. kapal ko. ayan tuloy!
im not sure why i'm pissed off with an auto reply...
it actually isn't that stressful around here but i need change this year.
when i get back. i'll rethink everything..promise!
its like college days with jeremy and tristan (dahil uuwi ng maaga si marie) drinking at Sikatuna again. us, not being mindful of the time, not mindful of toxicity, not mindful of everything.

i knew this is going to happen...eventually. so, i prepared for it. but there is still a slight pinch.. ouch..badtrip pero ok na rin..
most people would usually eat a pint of ice cream or shove a good squeeze of whipped cram straight to their mouths...pero...
bwahaha.. seriously funny. haha. natatawa pa rin ako. weird .. haha

"The more wisdom you obtain, the more you shut your mouth. This isbecause the more that you learn, the more you realize that there areeven more things that you do not know. The true mark of an idiot is aloudmouth, the true mark of a wise man is humility"

and not to mention near death experiences...not as simple as falling of one level of the terraces beause that would be so pathetic. ours was nearly being torn into pieces by around 5 stray dogs; waiting for light to come inside a cold, cramped (with very low ceiling) cave, with our faces almost kissing each other, our feet soaked to a very cold running water at oo naiihi pa ko. shet. and of course countless ghosts encounters, diba jem?haha..anyone who was born on 1984?
raise your hand please.......
me: magrereview ka ulit?
me: sayang naman
chriss: ganon talaga. everything has a purpose. hindi pa siguro time or hindi para sakin talaga.... God knows what's best for us .
me: at saan mo naman nakuha yan!?!
chriss: seriously? sa simbahan. sa bible. this (not passing the board exam) will just make me stronger. and i'll take that as a challenge.
me: oo naman.
chriss: nyenye. fine.
me: so pwede na kitang asarin ngayon?
chriss: oo na. hindi ako pumasa.
me: joke lang
chriss: tse..hehe. ok lang noh.. :)... uhm inom tayo?haha
me: antok na ko... sorry..
chriss: sige next time..
me: ok

do i really need to get laid before i can get romance? am i destined to be indecent?
do people really need to undergo everything? i do not think it is necessary and i don't think it is possible anyway.
example:not because i did not have lots of barbies or flashy toys when i was young does not mean i will buy all the barbies in the world (now that i could afford it) just so i could suffice my longingness on them when i was young.

ok. so i thank you for the education but how i wish my UP life ended on the height of my happiness, my own happiness. how i wish it ended when we were having the time of our lives at Sarah's me and aissa and our other geog fiends. or other random people we just met who left us with memories that we will genuinely cherish. but since it did not, i shiver at the sight of sunken garden or AS, vinzon's hill and even posters of UP fair. but don't worry oble, i still smile whenever i see you. and im still eager to watch the UAAP opening.
Oh well, Happy centennial anyway dear UP!
and to the many years that will come...
to that person who managed to become a dad and mom at the same time(and now a lolo and a yaya)
to that person who accepted us despite mistakes and helped us dust ourselves from falls
to that person who changes my pamangkin's diapers
to that person who seriously believes in God
to that person who just scratches his head pag pinapagalitan ko about love life. hihi
to that person who tried to cook laing for father's day lunch(na sobrang kati sa d
to that person who buys his favorite ice cream and cakes on his daughters' birthdays (ayoko nga sabi ng double dutch na ice cream!)
to that person who does not believe in what i can do (it actually challenges me to prove more)
to that person who gives a lecture on current issues over lunch(nasusuka na ko
to that person who asks me to drink green tea (syet!)
to you papo dear, happy father's day! there were times that we want to get rid of each other but always remember that me, ate and izee don't have any choice but to keep you.hehe.
seriously, i thank you for all the things that you've done for us. you really gave a big, strong wind beneath 2 wide wings.happy father's day!
aissa and i want a new hobby. this we realized when we went drinking at lime88 (i recommend lychee martini, being a kychee fan that i am). so i listed a few things that popped into my head and other people suggestions as well. please do not add photography, lomography, digital photography or any photo whatever for this matter. i like airsoft sana pero siguro minsan-minsan lang. i want a real hobby, a hobby that i can sustain at yung hindi ako mukhang poser. so here goes:

blogging metro manila odds

the long weekend made realize that my career woman/housewife/mother-dream would only materialize if i have three days off at work. but since i only have 2, i think i can only go as far as the career woman dream. or i think i could still squeeze the mother role in it.
anyhoo, me, kei, jem and tasha watched sex and the city, had dinner and made chika over bottles of beer and a few sips of margarita. hurah to jem and her new boyfriend. :)
and great secrets were reavealed despite long years of friendship.
1.so we thought that we ALL found out this secret last december but then one of us pala knew it all along. no fuss. nakakagulat lang.
2. scenario: kei was talking about how her clairvoyant boss predicted her future. she'll marry next year due to whirlwind romance to a guy she still haven't met as of today but her husband will die when their kid turns 10. fan pa naman ng psiloveyou si kei.
tasha: so parang lorna tolentino ka lang.
me in my should-i-tell-kei look: kei, patay na sya.
kei: huwaaat?
us all except kei: bwahahaha. ano ka ba?
the question is: would you be willing to meet your one true love but will only have him for a few years like 10-15 years. or would you rather spend your entire lifetime with some guy na ok lang?
as for the sex and the city hangover: dati i like carrie but i like miranda more now. so jem, kei and tasha could choose between carrie, charlotte and samantha. while jeff and karl could choose between stanford and anthony. hehe
